Nutrition Education Intern, Mass Audubon’s Drumlin Farm; Somerville, MA – Spring 2020
As Nutrition Education Intern, I teach an after school program for kindergarten through fifth grade students at a Somerville public school alongside a Drumlin Farm teacher naturalist. Each week we focus on a different food and teach the students about where the food comes from and what it provides for our bodies. Through cooking demonstrations and activities, the students can develop their understanding of the connection between our natural environment and our food and why it is immensely important to respect nature.
Intensive Writing Course in West of Ireland, Wellesley College – Summer 2018
I participated in a Wellesley College intensive writing course that took place in the West of Ireland. We met with relevant Irish voices in poetry, specifically women, and discussed how landscape has and continues to influence artists as we traveled the west of Ireland. I interviewed the poet, Joan McBreen, and wrote a research paper on her poetry, specifically her focus on family, motherhood, and nature.
Creative Writing Retreat with Terry Tempest Williams, Wellesley College – Spring 2018
I was selected to participate in a writing workshop with the artist, activist, and writer, Terry Tempest Williams. This workshop focused on our sense of place as we used the beautiful, tree-filled Wellesley College campus as inspiration.

I organized and led tabling events for the community to learn about animal rights and the importance of veganism in fighting climate change. I managed the social media account to share vegan meal ideas. I presented to others how to transition to plant-based eating.
